Raw Material Production

Controlled-release nitrogen is used as a fertilizer or in a fertilizer blend with other ingredients. The fertilizer is used on golf courses, sport turf, home lawns, high yield agricultural crops, nurseries and in greenhouses. Agrium Advanced Technologies produces four controlled-release nitrogen products: Sulphur Coated Urea (SCU®), Nutralene®, Nitroform®, and Isobutylidenediurea (IB™). As well, Agrium Advanced Technologies distributes Polymer Sulphur Coated Urea (PSCU) for The Scotts Company and Urea for Terra Nitrogen.

Professional Fertilizer and Pest Control Products

The professional division serves two major markets; professional turf care products to golf courses and lawn care companies as well as Professional Pest Control Products and Animal Health Products to pest control operators and farms. Agrium Advanced Technologies products are marketed under the ProTurf®, Par-Ex®, Nu-Gro® and Wilson Professional brands.

Agrium Advanced Technologies is committed to supporting the professional turf industry with the innovative research and development of products and tools like our new TurfTec Online® program. TurfTec Online® is an online nutrient management planning tool designed for the use of turf grass managers to help maintain records of plant requirements and applications of protective products. The program includes soil testing, irrigation water analysis, and tissue sampling. Not only is this tool invaluable for record keeping purposes, it ultimately promotes a more efficient use of pest control and fertilizer products resulting in a positive impact on the environment. Professional Turf Marketing Team

	Mark A. Scenna Turf Sales Manager, Canada Mark started at Agrium Advanced Technologies in 2008 and is the Turf Sales Manager for Canada. Having held the position of Sales Manager for the Agronomic Division at Turf Care Products Canada Limited for five years, he is very familiar with the professional turf industry. Mark graduated with a B.A. in Business Admin from Brock University and attended Niagara College's Post Diploma Program in Environmental Management. In total he has worked in the turf management industry for over 20 years. Mark's responsibilities include sales management and distribution for both direct sales reps and distributors across Canada. He is also works closely with the Marketing Department as well as new product development.
	John Bladon National Technical Representative and IPM Coordinator, Professional Turf Products In 2004 John joined the team at Agrium Advanced Technologies bringing 20 years of industry background and extensive knowledge of IPM practices to his role. Since graduating from the University of Guelph and studying at Cornell University, John has been involved in the development, construction, grow in, and management of several golf courses and he spent 9 years as a golf course superintendent. Recently, through the American Society of Agronomy, John passed his International Certified Crop Adviser examination and hopes to complete the certification process shortly. John supports Agrium Advanced Technologies's distribution network, golf course superintendents and professional turfgrass managers Canada wide. In a time of IPM, he promotes the benefits of incorporating Agrium Advanced Technologies's controlled release nitrogen technologies into management regimes while providing technical consultations and education from coast to coast.
	Keith Lefebvre B.Sc. (Biological Sciences) Marketing Coordinator, Professional Turf Products Keith joined Agrium Advanced Technologies in 2003 as part of the technical department after completing his degree at the University of Guelph and moved into his current marketing position later that year. His ongoing turfgrass education includes studies at Cornell University. Keith's responsibilities range from marketing and promotion, to pricing, and new product development.
	Brandon Lovegrove Marketing Administrator, Professional Products Brandon joined Agrium Advanced Technologies in December of 2007, after graduating from the Marketing program at Conestoga College. His responsibilities include marketing and promotion projects, customer event coordination, pricing and website maintenance.
	Laura Coleman Assoc. Diploma (Ag. Business) Customer Service Representative Laura joined Agrium Advanced Technologies in 2003 after completing an Associate Diploma in Agricultural Business at the University of Guelph. She is primarily responsible for our professional turf client ordering, and is comfortable with the products and logistic needs of these clients.
